We’re glad so many of you have been enjoying our free
service. We’ve enjoyed reading your stories of how reQall has helped you in so
many different ways. Some of you have asked us, “Don’t you guys need to make
money?” Or, “Are you going to suddenly start charging for your service without
any warning?” Or, “Will you one day disappear like some other services?” We thought we’d take a moment to
respond to your questions.
While we’d love to tell you that money isn’t an issue, the
truth is that, yes, like everyone else, we do need to make money. But don’t
worry: we won’t surprise you by charging you for the service you’re currently
enjoying. We have many exciting plans in the pipeline and will keep you posted
on these developments.
Will we disappear? We will confess to enjoying reading about
Houdini or watching an illusionist make a white tiger vanish, but that’s as far
as our disappearing act goes. In fact, we’re currently working on some very
interesting new features. And, as always, we love to hear from you about what
you’d like to see in the next version of reQall.
In the meantime, we hope you’ll continue to spread the word
about reQall so that people looking for a free memory aid will know where to
find it. In today’s web-connected world, it really does make a difference when
you post a comment, write a blog entry or reply to an article to let people
know that reQall helps you remember and stay organized. Be sure to friend us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter (@reqall) – and we’ll follow and friend you back!
So glad to see you guys posting an update to the blog! Well done.
I am pretty excited for these new features you are talking about. Assuming you do charge for these, do you plan on making a "plus/premium" version in the iPhone app store or doing a per-month charge to the service? Just wondering! Hopefully it's just a paid app and not a monthly fee.
And, I would LOVE to see sync ability with Google services! Keep up the great work.

Thanks for your comments, Josh. We can’t give out any more details at the moment, but we’ll make an announcement as soon as possible.

I too am excited about the new features. I love the BB app and use it daily. I've recommended your service to many others, but it still has a few key features that I need before I can make it my primary To-do list. (Categories or tags, repeating to-dos...) I'm looking forward to the next release.
Keep up the good work and keep the conversation going on the blog.

Awesome! So the current service including iPhone app will always be free.
And the new features would be something that I'd have the option to pay for.
Thank you for committing to us about this.

You make my life so much easier. I have ADHD and run my own business and find most 'normal' business tools and organization stuff just doesn't work for a person who is extremely visual.
Your integration with ical and iphone app have made me a total convert. I tell everyone about your service!!
I can't wait to hear about the new tools and options coming- I'm actually excited(?!?!?) to pay since I want to make sure this service stays possible.
