Our reQall for iPhone update (version 3.0.1) is now available on the App Store. This includes a few new enhancements that will make reQall even easier to use.
Background: reQall automatically organizes your items based on what you say/type. This update addresses 2 common questions:
1) "What are those magic words reQall understands?"
The "Add by Voice" screen now includes animated examples of what reQall understands and how it will interpret them. Below is an animation illustrating what you'll see. Of course, the same phrases work when you "Add by Text". Learn more about about what reQall understands.
Note: the animation above was built with Processing, an awesome free tool from some former MIT colleagues. We use it for design and UI prototyping. It requires your browser has Java.
2) "Can I see the items I added recently?"
The new "Recent Items" list gives you quick access to items added to your reQall account (via your iPhone, Web, IM, BlackBerry, email, etc.) in the last 24 hours. You access this list using the following button on any of the main screens or the "Add" screen:
We hope these enhancements will make it easier for you to take advantage of the power behind reQall. Please continue sharing your ideas and suggestions.
Today, reQall hit an important milestone. On the 1-year anniversary of the launch of the iPhone App Store, reQall reached #1 among Productivity apps on the iTunes App Store. Thanks again for all your support and welcome to all the new reQallers.
We've released a new
version of reQall for iPhone that takes advantage of a bunch of goodies in iPhone 3.0. It includes many of these things you've been asking for. Here are some highlights:
Memory
Maps – You now can
see your To-Dos on a map. Drag the map around and see all the places where you
have things to do. This feature also lets you add locations without having to
physically be there—just by clicking on a map.
Eyes-Free
Recording – Simply
raise the iPhone to your ear and it starts recording.
Push
Notification –This
new feature lets you receive reminders even when you're not running the reQall
application.
Data
Detectors – Making
a call, firing off an email or launching a Web page is now easier than ever. Now,
when a telephone number, URL or email address is contained in a reQall message,
you only have to tap it once to take action.
We've made a few tutorial videos to show how some of this works.
