We've released a new version of reQall for BlackBerry that includes many of the things you've been asking for. Here are some highlights:
- BlackBerry notifications – Now Pro users can receive reminders directly on your BlackBerry. No need to use your text message credits. You can also set it to have a sound or vibrate when the reminder comes up.
- LOCATION-BASED REMINDERS – In my testing, this was simply the coolest new feature. With reQall's new BlackBerry notification feature and the BlackBerry's GPS capability, Pro users can receive a "pushed" reminder of what they need to do wherever they are. (iPhone users, we know you want this too. It's an iPhone limitation that keeps this from working.)
- Modify what "near" means – How far away from a location do you want to be notified? Set it to 300 meters, 1 km or 5 km.
- Offline mode – All users can now add/edit items when there is no network connection. Your changes will be synced once you're online.
- Add dates/times separately – If you want to set a date, but don't want it in the content of your item, press Menu-->Add due date.
- Edit recurring dates – Change a recurring date directly on the BlackBerry instead of going to the web.
- Edit unsynced items – Make changes in items that haven't yet been synced to the reQall server. Press Menu-->Show unsynced items.
- Auto connection – No more need to manually try all the connection settings. reQall will try them for you and use the one that works.
BTW, you'll have to update reQall directly by going to www.reqall.com/blackberry from your BlackBerry's browser. The upgrade button in the app won't work this time. Once you've tried it, let us know what you think.

Sounds like a great update if you have found away around the GPS limitation on the Verizon Blackberries like the Storm?
Also, any chance of a specific Storm/Storm2 version?

I just upgraded to pro, and was dissapointed to find that GPS doesn't work on my verizon blackberry tour. I see now that in the FAQ you've been trying to get verizon to authorize reqall to use GPS "for months"... I think a number should be posted so that those of us wanting to use this feature can call and cooperatively coerce them to open it up faster ;)

@Maxx Agreed! Storm user myself. Looks like a nice app, but I won't upgrade the service without location-based reminders. That's the whole point!

Love this app but it lags like crazy on the Storm 2. It doesn't feel like it was designed for Storm 2 or OS 5.0 (as the need to download OS version 4.7 indicates).
Opening this app takes at least 30 seconds from login to "loading" to GPS location. This isn't just a Storm issue though as I experienced the same thing on my Tour. If reqall could make this app a bit more snappy for Blackberry, I'm sure people would use it more frequently.

Joe, we're waiting an an SDK for OS 5.0 from RIM. The beta version that's out is, well, a beta.
All: thanks to Maxx, we were able to put in a fix in reQall for BlackBerry 1.4 so that GPS should now work on the Verizon Storm and Tour. Maxx was awesome in figuring this out. We'd still like Verizon to open up the other models, but at least Storm and Tour users should be able to use it.

I love reQall. I've used it for over a year now. I love the ability to call and just dictate items I need to remember.
I'm a very heavy BlackBerry user. Unfortunately, I find that reQall causes a HUGE strain on my battery. If I keep reQall open, I cannot make it through a day without completely draining my battery. I'm currently running Verizon Tour 9630 v4.7.1.61 and reQall 1.4.3
I would definitely pay for reQall Pro if I could successfully and continually keep reQall opened on my BB throughout the day

Not entirely sure where I would be without my BlackBerry!

It sounds like it would be nice, but it looks like you won't be offering a WM app, or even a functional mobile web app, and if you do, it will be a higher prices and with less functionality. Well, I shouldn't have been so quick to leave Jott, but I'm hoping to cobble the functions I need out of Google.

This location based service (LBS) fearture is like verizon's family locator to track your families.

Looks like it has been more than a year, and still no cooperation with Verizon BlackBerry GPS location? That's a shame - that it a huge part of the appeal. Nice app though. Best of luck gaining access to Verizon handsets - that would open up a large population of happy users!
