Lots of news today.
First, for all of those loyal reQall fans who have been asking/demanding/pleading for it: reQall for Android Beta is here. We implemented the top reQall functions: Here & Now, All Items list, Add by voice and text, Location and time-based reminders. We want and need your input to shape where the product goes from here. Please try it out and let us know what you like, what you don't like, and which of the other reQall features should take priority in coming to Android. Download it at http://www.reqall.com/android. It's a public beta, so everyone has access.
Second, there's a completely revamped web interface. We've done a lot of user testing on this and believe it is a significant improvement over the past interface. Again, try it out and let us know what you think.
As part of the web changes, we've introduced a bunch of new features that users have requested. Those include categories, tags, adding locations by address, new lists and viewing options, a configurable Today list, favorite lists, bulk operations. You can see what's new at http://help.reqall.com/whats-new.html. We'll be migrating many of these features into the iPhone (next) and then Android.
Thanks for all of your support. Our user community keeps us going during the long days that lead up to a release like this. And a special thanks to our beta testers who helped over the last month by finding bugs and making many suggestions for improvements.
Wow, I am loving the simple interface with the android version. Clean, ease of use, and quality, just what reqall brings to the table when you use their service.

If this gets a decent widget I can replace my existing to-do list. I'd definitely pay for pro if the widget is well-designed.

I need some help pronto. I'm loving the new Android app for my Droid, but the location-based reminder feature is killing my battery because the GPS stays on all the time. Currently it's using 70% of my battery. Is there any way to turn this off or manage it somehow???
Thanks.

Really like the updates to the UI. Now, turning this into my version of a GTD-ish tool will be a snap. A good tool just got a whole lot more useful.

Anuthing going on? no blog for months now????
Can your service be used from belgium?

Hi Marc, I apologize about our blog. We have been putting our resources and efforts else where. We are currently looking at another way of handling our blog.
You can use reQall in Belgium. Every feature besides the Add By phone will work. However you can still take advantage of our iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, and web application. Please let me know if you have any questions, I would be happy to help! You can also contact us via support@reqall.com

Hi,
I'm a paid user for the past 2.5 years. I came to your blog concerned that I've not seen any updates in the app. Now I read the Dec 2nd comment that you are putting your resources elsewhere. Does that mean you are working on ReQall or another project/application altogether?
Thank you for responding.

Hi Lee, I apologize. I meant that we are not putting our resources into the blog right now. We still have our resources working on improving your reQall experience. Sorry for the confusion.

I second the request for a usable Android widget. I've been using Producteev which has a decent droid widget but I think I would prefer reqall if I can get that widget.

I have these so far:
geolocation
orientation
viewport (width, scale)
touch-events
tap-highlight-color
specific keyboard layout depending on the form (type=number, email)

Rather actually! I need some help pronto. I'm loving the new Android app for my Droid, but the location-based reminder feature is killing my battery because the GPS stays on all the time.

Glad to hear that you are enjoying your reQall app. We are aware of a battery issue. To conserve your battery, please disable your GPS. To disable your GPS, open your reQall app and tap on your menu option. Then select Settings, the tap to disable GPS.

@Camarad, I apologize after talking with another member of the team it appears that our latest app update should fix the battery drain issue. Please make sure you are running the most recent version of the app. If you continue to experience battery drain issues please let us know!
